Movement Competency Analysis (MCA)
ABOUT THE MCA
The Movement Competency Analysis (MCA) is the optimal method of assessing the movement capabilities of your clients and athletes. The parameters it measures are mobility, stability and core movement patterns. It also provides you with an oversight on how to maximise injury prevention and improve overall performance. The primary function of the MCA is to analyse movement under load.
Utilized by numerous practitioners worldwide, the MCA eliminates the guesswork and provides you with a detailed blueprint of your clients or athlete mobility and stability capabilities.
MOVEMENT & STABILIZATION
The MCA encompasses seven key functional movement and stabilization patterns. Once an optimal range of movement is achieved, the athlete can then advance to an axial loaded squat for analysis. Correct movement patterns are an essential requirement for longevity.
The MCA scores individuals on an easy to carry out, yet effective mobility and stability pattern that is reproducible.
To understand the capabilities of your client/athlete and their training demands a baseline measurement must be adopted.
The MCA is efficient, reliable and practical whilst delivering a highly effective movement analysis. The MCA also provides an insight into your client’s or athlete’s areas of strengths and weaknesses with a view to correcting them through optimizing movement patterns.
